The jury of the Malta International [105 countries] Art Biennale 2009 was really impressed with the range of distinctive paintings incorporating visions of the world. Artists from 105 countries took part in the Malta International Art Biennale 2009, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta, Malta. Founded by Dame Francoise Tempra in 1975. The jury were distinguished guests including Mina Tempra, Dr. Fr Marius Zerafa (Founder Vice-President), Dame Francoise Tempra President Malta Biennale, Joan Haber Vice-President Malta Biennale and Leon Meynet Vice-President Malta Biennale for Switzerland.

The 1st prize went to Raphael Labro [France]. Labro a resident for the last 6 years of Gozo, [Malta] was acknowledged for his style and impressions of ancient Goddesses of the region.
The evening was a great success with several dignitaries present.
Raphael Labro accepted the 1st prize trophy and especially thanked Dame Francoise Tempra and the Malta International [105 countries] Art Biennale 2009, all his supporters, collectors and sponsors including: Pebeo, Pernod, Jacobs Creek and Westin Dragonara.
